Activities:
Basically anything to do with the sea and water sports, shopping,
and promenade strolling to hiking, cycling, visiting museums and
art galleries. The list is endless.
Cogolin Marina has numerous restaurants (including Le Jardin Imperial
- one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the Gulf area). The
beach is very safe for children and there are sailing dinghies etc.,
that are available for hire. The harbour wall is also very good
for fishing.
There is a launderette in the marina and La Foux shopping centre,
which nearby has all the shops, needed for your stay. Also close
by is Lunarpark, a funfair that is great for all the kids big and
small and there is also crazy golf.
Sport and leisure
Inland: If you like cycling and setting off on
a walk early in the morning you will like Cogolin! In fact it is
the departure point for many itineraries which will guide you, no
matter what your physical condition, to enchanting sites and an
exceptional environment.
There are 43 rambling routes in the Pays des Maures including the
"Sentiers des Crêtes" (15 km) and the "Sentier
Botanic" de Cogolin.
You will need 3 to 4 hours to complete the first one starting from
Négresse park. Much less time is needed for the sentier botanique
des Tortues which is in a loop.
As you make your way, you will perhaps see some downy or white leafed
cistus or white leafed sage or Montpellier cistus with sticky leaves.
Further on, you will come across arborescent heather or traditional
lavender, specific to the Maures area. Brushwood full of surprises
and scents to be discovered at 3km/hour!
Sea and watersports: Water sport businesses are
well represented in the marina and beach. You will find boat hire
(sail or motor), sailing school for beginners, water skiing etc
and the rental of boats of all sizes along the marina and the adjacent
beaches.
Throughout the summer, the area is also a sailors haven, ideal for
holding sporting regattas and nautical competitions and is a regular
meeting place for sailing enthusiasts.
